AMARA
2025

Part of the My Lovely Bones constellation, developed since 2010, Amara marks an important stage in the evolution of Laurence Le Constant's sculptural vocabulary.

Inspired by the myth of La Loba: the Bone Woman who gathers scattered bones in the desert and sings them back to life, the work approaches transformation as an act of reconstruction, memory and rebirth.

Composed of recycled goose and duck feathers, agate slices, lapis lazuli, kyanite and swordfish bone, Amara brings together organic and mineral materials to evoke the perpetual cycle of life. Here, the skull becomes the witness of an ongoing metamorphosis in which every ending contains the possibility of a new form of existence. The work celebrates the circulation of life through its many transformations and reminds us that disappearance and renewal are part of the same movement.
